Now that the vaccine is beginning to be distributed around the world, the end of this epidemic is on the horizon and as such it’s time to look ahead to some much deserved rest and relaxation.
This trip was originally scheduled to take place in mid- to late-March, but the slow pace at which the vaccine is being rolled out in the United States, as well as the rapidly increasing spread of some of the COVID variants, the only safe and ethical thing to do is to delay the trip until June.
Although the delay is disappointing, one giant benefit to moving our trip to summer is the ability to swim with the whale sharks! These massive, docile creatures flock to the shores around Cancun between March and August meaning we’ll be visiting smack dab in the middle of the season.
